Enso Woven Copper Gate
Project Criteria ~ On an existing heavy steel electric gate create a solid “Skin” with a Oriental feel. Add a “hidden entry gate” for pedestrian access in case of a power outage.
Design Solution ~ Woven Copper panels with the Japanese calligraphy. The “Enso” Symbol created in Brass with the look of layered brush strokes.
Material ~ Copper and Brass
Dimensions ~ 4’ tall X 20’ wide
The three panels are covered with strips of Copper woven together into a fabric-like texture and given a patina finish. The center section has the symbol Enso made in Bronze with a light patina finish. The Art Gate is in front of a home in Waimea on the island of Kaua’i.
